Research Summary: My research focuses on the personalized and preventive health measures of cardiovascular diseases across ethnic groups, to better understand the disease etiology and to improve the predictive modeling of the development, treatment and prevention of diseases. The research in the following two domains are highly interconnected and synergistic in many applications.

Genomic Epidemiology of Cardiovascular Disease and Hypertension
• Genetic architecture of disease traits
• Gene-Environment Interactions and Epigenomics
• Genomic epidemiological studies in minority population

Computational and Statistical Modeling of Complex Diseases
• Machine learning and data mining
• System and network analysis of complex disease phenotypes
